Jolly Lollie's Confection Connection - The Finished Illustration
It is finished. I will probably darken my sky wash and re-scan (just because I'm nit picky like that) But all in all, I'm very happy with the results (especially since my 2 year old kept trying to help me by crawling all over me and grabbing my brush!)
He loves it, by the way. He spells "C-A-N-D-Y"

New Garden Photos and Good News!
Four O'clocks
And the Good News:
And the Good News:
My little one doesn't appear to have a hernia after all. The doctor told us what to look for and if we notice it, we are to take a picture and schedule another appointment. From what he described, I'm pretty reassured that my wee tot doesn't have one. So thanks for your kind words and support, I truly appreciate it!

Wordy Wednesday
Here's a photo of one of my next projects. I love these. I look at them every morning when I'm working on my computer. If you remember, they started by accident when I was trying to utilize the plethora of baby food jars that we have accumulated. I hope to make a bunch of retro light window clings to offer for sale as well as a collection of Christmas candy window clings.(I'm getting a wee bit tired of sewing right now!)
I hope to go out into the garden and take some photos of the plants in bloom or bud. The sweet peas, calendula and four o'clocks I started from seed are budding! I feel like a proud plant momma.
On the family front, I had to take my little one to the doctor yesterday, he was having some boy issues. I found out that he may have an inguinal hernia. We go to the pediatric surgeon on Friday, hopefully it will be an easy procedure. If anyone has experience with this I would love to hear about it as I am a bit anxious about the whole matter. In the meantime, he's still his happy go lucky little self and we've been dancing around the living room this morning. I hope to make up for missing my entrecard drops yesterday, I was preoccupied to say the least!
Look for flower photos later, a truly wordless Wednesday post!

Just an Observation...
When I was 19 or so, I was absolutely smitten with Marti Pellow, the lead singer of 'Wet Wet Wet'.
A few years later (1995 to be exact) another 'Wet Wet Wet' video surfaced. I still found Mr. Pellow attractive. Have you ever noticed some people just have that 'je nais c'est quoi'? He definitely did, at least I thought so.
So where am I going with this? Well last night while playing on the computer I came across the "Love is All Around" video quite by accident. It took me back to those years in my life and made me wonder 'what ever happened to'? I googled his name out of curiosity and found that he is still kicking around, now 44. Shortly after the '95 video, the drummer left the band and Pellow found himself in the midst of a Heroin addiction. He left the band in 1999, effectively disbanding it. He has since beat his heroin addiction and the band reformed in 2004.
So again, where am I going with this? When you are young you create all these images in your mind about people who seem to have it all. Then throughout your life you end up finding out that maybe they really weren't as Blessed, perfect, lucky, whatever you want to call it, as you originally thought. You learn that everyone struggles with things in their lives and that fact unites us together as human beings or, as I prefer, spiritual beings.
Here is a current photo of Mr. Pellow. Still handsome, but the struggles he has faced in his life now show clearly on his face. What those struggles have been I may not know but I do know that his music, incredible voice and stage presence were part of a very pivotal period of my life. They were part of the soundtrack of my life. They are integrally tied to happy memories and for that I am grateful. Because of that, I wish Mr. Pellow much happiness and contentment in his life.(ironically, the life I would have imagined him having way back when)

Stop Motion Animation Project
I just had an idea to create a promotional video Christmas "card" for my customers in stop motion animation. I really think I have more time than I do but I hope to enlist the help of some of my good friends. Plus, it shouldn't be longer than 30 seconds or so. My plan is to use a few of my elf ornaments as characters to decorate a tree with the ornaments I've made wishing all a Very Merry at the end. I am planning all the props that I'll need in the back of my head while I make ornaments as well as how I want to do the set. I've had one friend show interest in helping and I hope more will follow suit. Of course, I'll share any progress we make on this as I can. First things first is either figuring how to make Movie Maker submit to my will or finding a software that will!

More Garden Photos
Yellow Daylily
these smell glorious (except when it's raining...boo)
So, I fell asleep with my son last night before I was able to drop cards. I dropped first thing this morning(since we were up at 5:30) I didn't drop throughout the day(like I prefer to do) because I updated or started my 9 online shops(yes, I'm up to 9!) I'll share all the venues in case you've missed any when I have a little more time(maybe 1 or 2 a day since there are so many!). I'm hoping that the light will get better It's overcast, we had thunderstorms roll through this morning and I was, of course, planning to photograph my finished ornaments. Oh Boy! My two year old is being just that so I best finish up and tend to his every whim, Have a wonderful and productive day all!
