My Friend Dennis Repino!

My Friend Dennis and I worked together moons ago at National Record Mart(aka NRM Music). I was the store manager and he was my fabulous assistant. He is a very talented musician, playing classical guitar. I just received my copy of his CD in the mail and it is absolutely beautiful! It is so peaceful, it calmed the savage beast in me(which may I add has been rearing her ugly head as of late, hormones and all!) I'm going to see if I can somehow get his music to play on my blog. In the meantime check out his website(and of course music!)!

It's been awhile!

It's been a pretty hectic week for me! My 40th Birthday was Saturday, no special plans, my mom came out and took us to dinner and bought me a nice gift. My husband and I argued about things that never should have come up on my birthday and that he just can't drop once he gets fixated(a long story that has to do with a waste of human flesh that he for some unbeknown reason tangled himself up with and a legal battle that is absolutely corrupt and ludicrous!!)My little one scared the begeezus out of me when he fell off the couch, almost choked on an animal cracker, went limp and then came back to normal!! I told him he is never allowed to scare mommy like that again!!! I've been trying to keep up with all 3 blogs, my astrology group, 2 businesses, my holiday window proposal all while trying to keep the house somewhat in order!! I've introduced Halloween Play Dough(busy little elf) and Gingerbread Cookie ornaments (busy little Christmas elf). I've been working on mostly Christmas things since I've just been accepted to do a juried craft show the first weekend in December.

My newest item!

Well, this project took me a long time to finish! I have been working on it for months, mostly researching bugs and how to collect them for the manual. I then had to regurgitate(and yes, that is the word I meant to use) what I learned into an easy to understand manual for boys between the ages of 5 or 6 and 10. So it's finished and listed! I hope other parents like it as much as I do.

You could probably guess from my business name, I'm rather fond of Christmas. It has become an even greater passion since my son's birth. Well, I'm gearing up for Christmas and I've started a new blog on which I will post all sorts of craft ideas, recipes, decorating ideas and traditions. It has a few posts already and I will continue to add until I find nothing inspirational out there (like that's going to happen!) Check it out and let me know what you think!!

FOR OUR BOYS! [a new links list!]

I never had a brother so I don't think I really understood the trials and tribulations that boys have growing up. Now that I'm a mother to a wonderful little boy, my mission in life is to help him be the best, most well-adjusted man that he can be. I saw an interview on Martha Stewart (it was a repeat so it was the second viewing) The interview was with the founder of guysread.com. I highly recommend you visit this site as well as boysread.org and support them in any way possible. Over the past year, I have collected a series of websites that support our boy's intellectual development and will post them in a links list to the side bar shortly! If you have any you'd like to share PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know, I would love to have the most comprehensive links list to help us as a community of like minded individuals, help our fabulous sons!

What Color is your Aura?

The Color of my aura is Yellow:
joy, freedom, non-attachment, freeing or releasing vital forces. People who glow yellow are full of inner joy, very generous and not attached to anything. Yellow halo around the head: high spiritual development. A signature of a spiritual teacher. Do not accept spiritual teachings from anyone who does not have such a yellow halo. Buddha and Christ had yellow halos extending to their arms. Today it is rare on Earth to find a person with a halo larger than 1 inch. Yellow halo appears as a result of a highly active brow chakra (which can be seen glowing with violet by many people at my workshops). Highly spiritual people stimulate the brow chakra continuously for many years, because they always have intensive spiritual thoughts in their minds. When this chakra is observed when highly active, a yellow (Auric pair) halo appears around it, surrounding the entire head. Yellow thought indicates a moment of joy and contentment.

So...What Color is your Aura?

Looks like dirt, smells like a chocolate brownie. Turns water brown but won't stain boy or tub!

Are you Serious?

MySpace deleted this for nudity.

Are you kidding me?

A) It's a drawing
B) I see more offensive images on prime time TV
C)some of the pictures people use for their profile pics are more sexually explicit than this
D) Again it's a drawing and a drawing tastefully done not explicit in any way and only buttocks show.

It's fine art! Ay Carumba!

Did I miss something? Or is this part of the whole big brother is watching thing?
I think a 14 year old could handle seeing this image, I think much younger could!

My happening new wheels!

I recently realized that in the 39 years I've been on this planet I haven't owned a new bike. I've only had hand me downs. Well, I now have a new bike, but it's not the cool banana seat bike we would have wished for back in the day! Okay, don't laugh too hard! It works with my boy's new bike seat! At least it's red!!

Wow! What a couple of days for busy little elf!

So unexpected, the fine admins at etsy included a couple of my items in their related items section of two pretty big articles!

Check it out!!(scroll down to related items and look for busylittleelf)
