I worked for Michael for about a year and a half about 12 years ago. This story breaks my heart because I know how hard both Michael and Marika work every single day. I hope they'll be able to work something out because their pastries truly are a gift to and treasure for our community!

The one down side to living in the city is all the wires and clutter that exists in your view of the world! That said, I had to take a photo of the sunrise this morning, I noticed after I took this that the clutter exists, in my eye, I ignore it!That's probably why I became an artist!:o) It's still pretty

It is FRIGID! With the wind chill this morning it is -31. Without the windchill it was -12. WTH!!!
I love winter and I don't mind cold but this is ridiculous!! I haven't left the house for days. Well unless you consider taking the dog out for her daily constitutional a few times a day, but there's no dilly dallying around, it's out, do your business, back in! Speaking of Dharma was a drama queen this morning, she did her business but on the way back to the house she started limping. Now, don't worry we were out there for less than 3 minutes, but her little paws must have numbed up. We got back in the house and within a minute she was back to her old self. I must admit though(and I'm saying this because I know she is okay) it was humorous! But I'm sad today because we've got great snow but we can't go out and play in it. It figures, the first playable snow of the season and we are stuck inside!!

(Aug 23 - Sep 22)
Tuesday, Jan 6th, 2009 -- Solid progress can be yours today as long as you don't try to get too much accomplished too quickly. Working faster can introduce problems that will come back later and haunt you. Even if others are in a hurry, take your time and do things right from the start. Laying a solid foundation is more crucial now than finishing the entire job.
[sounds like the story of my life! Off I go to work on the studio anyway!]

although it may not look like it, I've made some progress. All of my recycled materials have been sorted and categorized so now I just need work on my supplies and how I want things organized and I should be good to go! Note the pile on the table is getting lower!

More progress made on the daunting task of organizing and overhauling the studio. I only have minutes usually to get things done because of the wee tot so any forward momentum I can get, I'm happy with. Here are more photos of today's progress, note how the room seems to be getting LARGER!!Fascinating!:o)
This was the most current photo of the studio, but it doesn't look like this now. All of the black cd holders on the right hand side had fallen over and they now have a new home next to the armoire. Note: the floor is visible! You can actually walk into the room.
This picture was taken after my studio imploded! Actually, I was trying to move my drawing table to where I could fix it when it fell apart, I was so frustrated I left it in the middle of the room and started breaking down boxes that I use for constructing the initial form for my papier mache sculptures. It only looked like this for about 15 minutes but when I looked at the monstrosity I had to take a photo!
