In the Garden

Hot, dry weather is not being kind to my garden. My daylilies are almost finished blooming. Still have California Poppies and my garden phlox are hitting their stride. Unfortunately, my cosmos that I started from seed are growing very slowly (not enough water) but they just shot up over the past week. My mums are beginning to bloom and the bird seed is sprouting under the feeder. Other than that, all I have is what is pictured above [that and one miserable cat, pictured below!]

How beautiful. I love how a garden can gladden the heart … and how sharing beautiful sharing that love is. :) Thanks.

I love the color on the second one. My back garden's done amazingly well... the flowers at least- I have some of the biggest zinnias I've ever grown. My giant pumpkin just bit the dust, though. :(

My little one picked those Gerbera daisies out! I unfortunately didn't get my zinnias in this year, I bet they would have done very well:o(

Poppies are one hardy bunch of flowers and they are gracing every field and garden I see here. They're just gorgeous. Love your photos.
