I thought I had killed this one because we moved when I was 9 months pregnant and didn't get it into the ground. I planted what was left of the bulbs anyway. It took two years for it to come back but it is so pretty I'm glad it did!
VERY VERY pretty...so unusual...yes, those bulbs take their sweet time getting comfortable, before they decide to give us a show...well worth the wait!!!
The stamens face down and the petals recoil back(and up, I would say), it is a very funny lily to take a picture of! I've just taken more and will post those too so you can see how funny it truly is!

I have never seen a Black Beauty Lily before. Absolutely beautiful!
