My Latest Works: Part Three: Snowflakes
The 'Old Man Winter' series (first 6 photos) are already listed in my etsy shop. The others(closed eyes with eyelashes) should be posted midweek. I will also be doing more that have faces like the leaves and possibly classic snowflakes that are finished on both sides but not personified.
My Latest Works: Part Two: Fall Maple Leaves
More anthropomorphic leaves. I will also make some plain leaves because it was a great suggestion and I love making these! I unfortunately was working with morning light which liked some colors better than others. Looks like I'll have to do another photo shoot later today :o)
Up next: anthropomorphic snowflakes.

My Latest Works: Part One: Fall Oak Leaves
Here are my anthropomorphic oak leaves. I am also working on anthropomorphic maple leaves. I hope to have both in my Etsy shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/bzlittlechristmaself) by the end of the weekend. It looks like they will sell for $20 each. Each is one of a kind and will come with a certificate that will state it's date of birth :o), number and signature. I have many anthropomorphic snowflakes also finished which I will photograph and post here soon (probably after the maple leaves which will be part two;o). I love how these little guys came out, they make me smile! I still have a story to share but I'm having so much fun creating these little guys, that will just have to wait for another day.

In the Garden
Not a lot going on in the garden right now. But what is blooming is quite lovely. A resurgence of foxglove, a coneflower, garden mums and another shade of California poppy (I really hope they self sow!) I also have two phlox that are blooming like gangbusters, unfortunately they are covered with deer netting so the photos aren't as pretty as the long (live) view. Can't wait until next year, year two in this house should offer many more photo ops in the garden!

New Works!
I've taken a sabbatical from the ole laptop recently. We've been enjoying the wildlife in the neighborhood as of late. I counted seven (7) fawn yesterday in one yard. It made me happy and sad at the same time, I hope they will be able to find enough food over the winter to sustain themselves. I awoke to our two friendly neighborhood fawn in the neighbor's yard. I think they like my voice and I've dubbed myself the deer whisperer because they drew closer as I talked to them when we were loading into the car to take the husband to the bus stop. Oh! I saw a beaver doing his beaver thing on the side of the road. Now those are cute little critters! Wish I saw them more often.
Anyway, I am working on anthropomorphic snowflakes and leaves right now. These are the first two finished flakes. I'll be taking photos later today of my 'old man winter' flakes and some others that are nearing completion. I was involved in a bit of a creative scandal which I will address in a future blog post. I've learned something about myself and others. I'll reveal the product of that scandal and more shortly but for now I'd love to hear what you think of the flakes!
